Description

The message of the altarpiece is the idea of the continuity of the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament is alluded to by the Ark of the Covenant above the tabernacle and the figures of Moses and Aron placed on the sides. A radiant sun rises above the Ark of the Covenant as a symbol of the Eucharist and the New Testament.
