Description
The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Hic pius ac doctus stipulanda a Praesule quovis / Electo induxit, praestitit ipse lubens. / Jaeschkendorf, Zedel, Konzendorf aere coëmit, / Et disciplinam restituit,
coluit".

Pious and learned, he designed the laws that every newly elected abbot should obey. He also complied with them. He bought Jaszkowice (a defunct village to the west of the town), Saddle (between Żagań and Żary) and Kunice [now part of Żary]. He restored and strengthened order.
