- According to tradition, the Renaissance painting of the Virgin and Child in a rich Rococo frame was founded by the Gawronski brothers (their images are small kneeling figures at the bottom of the painting), who in 1599 cut down the tailor Jan Jarząbek with sabres - but not to death.
