Description
The epitaph of Jan Nicz, called Leopolita (1523-1572), an eminent preacher, professor at the University of Kraków, proof-reader and publisher of the translation of the Bible into Polish, depicts a bas-relief figure of the deceased. The whole is surmounted by a cartouche with an emblem depicting a young man with a banner in his hand flying on a bird.
