Coat of arms of Duke Ernst Bogislaw von Croÿ – detail
Location
Konkatedra św. Jana Chrzciciela w Kamieniu Pomorskim, Polska
Description
Placed to the left of the diagonal wall enclosing the organ prospect from below is the duke's 8-field coat of arms surrounded by a bas-relief wreath of oak leaves. In the upper left field the duke's own coat of arms (black stripes on a red background), in the central field the coat of arms of the Duchy of Lorraine, from which his father Duke Ernst Bogislaw von Croÿ and Aerschot, French field marshal, came from. The painted wreath held by two female figures was only added in 1938.
