Description
The late Baroque painting with Christ Crucified (2nd half of the 18th century) was placed in the altar in 1947. Previously, until 1940, the altar of the Conversion of St. Paul with three paintings by Michael Lancz of Kitzingen was set on a Gothic mensa (3rd quarter of the 14th century) with a bas-relief Brochwicz coat of arms: The Deposition of Christ in the Tomb, The Conversion of St Paul and Christ Reigning among Angels. Looted during the Second World War, it is on the list of objects still wanted by St Mary's Church. The polychrome of the altar mensa dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.
