Description
In the baroque altar with a sarcophagus-type mensa, there is a painting depicting St John of Nepomuk. It is a copy of a painting by Szymon Czechowicz, executed by Matylda née Wodak Mieleniewska in 1905 in Kraków. The kneeling St John of Nepomuk is dressed in a white chantry and ermine coat. In his hand he holds a crucifix. Five stars form a halo around the saint's head. Raising his head, the saint looks up at the angels, one of whom, dressed in a pink robe and blue mantle, holds the keys, while the other, naked, holds a laurel wreath with a blue band around his waist. The other two angels look out from behind a cloud, while to the left of the painting at the feet of the saint, other two angels embrace each other sitting on grey-giant clouds. Next to the kneeler lies a closed book in a red binding, with a branch of white lilies on it.
