- Description
- In 1945, after 112 years of break, Dominicans originating from the monastery in Lviv returned to Gdańsk. The city was almost completely destroyed after the war. The only church that survived was St. Nicholas Church. According to one of the accounts, the Russians spared the church because of the patron saint, who was held in special reverence by the Orthodox.
