- Description
- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Anglorum natus de stemmate Praesul / Virtutum merito laudeque clarus erat. / Exustam struxit partem domus anteriorem, / Pro pagis nostris apta statua dedit". He came from a famous English family. He shone with virtue and splendid merit. The front part of the temple was built from the ashes (city fire of 1677). He designed new statutes for the rural population of the monastery.
