- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Multa facir sollers, morti dum proximus esset / Praecessor, fratrum dignus amore pio. / Electum invadunt morbi perimintque, caducam / Kunzendorfensem dum struit ille domum". He had accomplished much before the previous abbot died. He was a respectable model for the office. Barely had he been elected, illness laid him low. He died while he was rebuilding the rectory in Kunice.
