- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Ingenii jovialis erat Vincentius Abbas. / Hoc sub Praelato claustra reclusa vide. / Apertis portis binus vix fluxerat annus / Vitaque Praelati qua data porta ruit". Abbot Vincent was of a cheerful disposition. During his reign, no clause was observed and the gate was wide open. Before two years had passed in that gate he was surprised by a culpable death....
