- Description
- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Et chorus Abbatum, pro sanctis omnibus ara / Atque suburbani Praepositi ampla domus, / Piscinae cultae Weineri encomia aunto, / Qui mala per belli tempora multa tulit'. A song of praise in Weiner's honour should read: a choir of prelates, an altar of All Saints, a spacious house outside the town for the parish priest (Holy Spirit), a pond full of fish (to his credit). He suffered a lot from the war.
