- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Extenuat fratrum numerum desertio pestis; / Hinc vocat ex Arois provide suppetias. / Vindicat, instaurat Grünbergae praeposituram, / Dum rex pro bello pendere multa petit". The plague reduced the number of friars, hence he turned to Arois (Arrouaise) for help. He revindicated and renewed the parish of Green Mountain. The king, on the other hand, demanded a large tribute (Ferdinand I for the war with Turkey).
