- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Fratres instituit Lectore docente Scrotista; / Urbs ab eo coetum nostra rosarii habet. / Intermissa diu processio publica demum / In festo Christi corporis acta fuit". He entrusted preaching to Scotism (the Franciscan Leo Prause; Scotism the doctrine of the Franciscan theologian and philosopher, Blessed John Duns Scotus). He founded the Rosary Society. He restarted the long abandoned Corpus Christi processions.
