Mass chalice from 1747
- Description
- One of the most valuable examples of goldsmithery is a late-Baroque chalice made in 1747 by Gdańsk goldsmith Jan Gotfryd Schlaubitz. Identification of the product is possible thanks to the signature on the foot. The bowl of the chalice is smooth, with slightly parted edges. The node is also smooth, pear-shaped. The foot is convex and round with a high neck, around which there is a decoration in the form of rounded serrations.
