Crucifix
Description
The crucifix from the rainbow arch, made in the 1620s, probably comes from the former furnishings of the cathedral. It was displayed on the wall of the south transept until 1938, and then placed in its present location after the removal of the Passion group, funded by the Duke of Ernst Bogislaw von Croÿ. On the cross, decorated with a frog motif on the edges and with a trillium motif at the ends of the arms with symbols of the four evangelists, the figure of Christ stretches devoid of drama.
