- Description
- The meeting of the Blessed Virgin Mary's parents at the Jerusalem gate, known as the Golden Gate, was regarded by medieval theologians as the moment of the miraculous conception of the Mother of the Saviour. The Annunciation to Joachim reminds us that the birth of the Immaculate One was a great grace from God and a foreshadowing of the Annunciation of the birth of Jesus.
