- Description
- The Duke is depicted in a chain armour on which he has a slit surcoat. He holds a shield and a double-edge sword in an ornamental sheath. There is a helmet next to his head. The lion at his feet can be interpreted in many ways as a symbol of power, immortality, courage or Satan who is crushed by the Duke.
