- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Instituit Missam maturam, acquirit emendo / Laubnitz et Machen; hunc premit ira Ducis, / Sed coeli ros et terrae pinguendo bidentis / Detant curantem rusque domumgue suam.' Introduced a daily morning mass. He acquired Lubanice (near Żary) and Machów (now part of the city). Despite the wrath of the prince, the heavenly dew and abundance of land blessed his work. He laboriously cultivated the land and cared for the monastery.
