- The portrait was originally accompanied by the inscription: 'Ille figurales modulos vult, datque byreta, / Non sinit, ut fratres rus vel ut ante colant, / Sed satutit potius, sit lectio spiritualis / Post nonam in nostro semper habenda horo'. He introduced polyphonic music and birettas for canons. He did not allow them to cultivate the field as in the past. He ordered post nonam reading in the choir.
