- Pope Gregory the Great depicted standing in a strongly moved pose. The figure is shown in liturgical vestments, wearing a tiara on his head with a pastoral in his right rice. The papal pastoral in the form of a triple cross. A dove is placed beside the figure as. a symbol of gentleness and graciousness.
