- Saint Jerome in standing pose, depicted wearing liturgical cardinal's vestments. On his head a cardinal's hat and in his right hand a pastoral ending in a double cross. Georg P.A. Hausdorf writes that the depiction of Saint Jerome in cardinal's vestments is a mistake, The saint's left hand holds a closed book.At the feet of the figure, to the left, a lion's head is visible as a symbol of the desert.
