Description
View of St. Mary's Church with Prisoners' Tower and bastion; E. Sanne, lithograph, c. 1843. [MS/S/816] Iconographic materials made available with permission of the Archaeological-Historical Museum in Stargard. In the nineteenth century, the history of the parish saw another prominent architect, Carl Friedrich Schinkel, who designed new furnishings for the church and supervised the restoration of its interior. As a result, the church received neo-Gothic furnishings, and thanks to the foundations of the city's residents, new stained glass windows were added at the end of the century.
