St. Helen finds the wood from the holy cross
We can see a man in a windblown coat (Constantine) supporting the Cross. Above the cross, there are two putti hovering. On the right, a priest in liturgical robes censes the cross, on the left, a kneeling woman in royal robes (St. Helen). In the background, there is a group of courtiers and clergy. In the “heavenly” zone we can see figures of Saints who are inverted in relation to the “earthly” zone and emerge from the clouds. On the left, an old man with a harp and a praying woman, on the right bare St. John the Evangelist with a cross and two praying Saints.
