Description

The painting by Felix A.Scheffler is in the main nave of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzeszów. It presents the symbolic farewell of the Apostles. Peter will be crucified with his head down and Paul will be beheaded with a sword as a Roman citizen. The Apostles who say goodbye are pulled away by the soldiers. The angels above hold the wreaths of victory for the martyrs.
