- Willem Janszoon Blaeu (1571 - 21 October 1638), spelled Willem Jansz Blaeu, was a Dutch cartographer, atlas maker and publisher. Together with his son Johannes Blaeu, Willem is regarded as one of the significant figures of the Dutch or Dutch cartographic school in its golden age (16th and 17th centuries).
