- Description
- The sarcophagus-shaped Classicist tombstone of Piotr Fryderyk Dunin of Skrzynin (d. 1788), alderman of Zator, and his wife Zofia of Małachowski (d. 1794), was designed by Szczepan Humbert. Above the inscription plaque is a shield of arms, the so-called Polish Coat of Arms, with the Nałęcz and Łabędź coats of arms, and above them a noble crown and a chalice with a wide bowl with a basket of laurel leaves. On the sides festoons of laurel leaves. The obelisk sits on two lion's feet with carved decorations on its side: an eagle in a nest and a Roman helmet covering cannonballs, from between which emerges a sabre handle in the shape of an eagle's head.
