- Description
- The Baroque altarpiece contains a painting in a gilded frame, decorated with Rococo elements, depicting St Anthony of Padua with the Infant Jesus, dating from the 2nd half of the 18th century. Above the painting there are stigmata (crossed hands with stigmata emerging from the clouds and a cross between them); the altarpiece is topped with the Eye of Providence in gloria. On either side of the altar on two free-standing low marble columns are angels with lily branches in their hands, acting as candlesticks.
